SIR Alex Ferguson has targeted Lens' Charles Itandje as cover for
Edwin van der Sar.
The Manchester United boss is keen to strengthen his goalkeeping
options as there are doubts over Van der Sar's longterm future and
Ben Foster will miss most of the season through injury.
Lens are prepared to cash in on Frenchman Itandje who has one year
left on his contract. Real Betis, Lyon and Aston Villa have all
shown an interest in him.
