Wayne Rooney is hoping to score more goals with his head for
Manchester United in the forthcoming season.
The 21-year-old netted 23 times last term as United took the
Premier League title for the first time since 2003.
During his three-year's at Old Trafford Rooney has notched-up a
total of 59 goals for the Red Devils but only one of these has come
from a header when he scored the opener in United's 2-1 defeat at
Arsenal in January.
"I've been working on my heading a lot in training, just taking
crosses and working on my timing," Rooney told The Sun.
"I'm not bad in training but then the games come and...I
dunno.
"I've only scored one header for United and I haven't a clue why.
But, hopefully I'll get more this year.
"There's more to my game than just scoring. I went 12 games last
season without a goal but I set them up for others and we were
still winning, so it didn't bother me."
