Giggs chasing opening win
Ryan Giggs is urging his team-mates to kick their Asia tour off in
style with victory over Urawa Red Diamonds.
The Reds recorded a 2-0 victory over their Japanese hosts two years
ago thanks to a Wayne Rooney double and the Welsh winger is hoping
for a similar outcome this time round.
"We are looking forward to the game and hopefully we can put on a
good performance," said the team's stand-in skipper.
"The pre-season preparations are important for the players. It is
going to be a tough game but we hope to get off to a good
start.
"They gave us a difficult game two years ago. Hopefully we will get
through it and we can get our match fitness going and not pick up
any injuries."
