Though I'm a United fan, I think Cech deserves to win hands
down. I really respect him for the courage he's shown since coming
back from that life-threatening injury. If there had been bleeding
in the brain, his chances of suffering from a haemorragic stroke
would have been quite high, and the survival rate for that kind of
condition is 25%.
For him to have come back, and doing so within the same season, and
show no fear is nothing short of remarkable. Sure, he may not dive
in as much, or be as forceful in claiming crosses and such, but he
is human after all.
The rest of the keepers may have had good seasons, but Cech fully
deserves it for the courage and determination he's shown in coming
back from adversity.
