i agree, a fairly straight-forward replacement in my view would
be Stewart Downing of Boro. At times his delivery may be lacking
but most times, he delivers quality. I just feel that should he
move to United, he can learn loads from a legend like Giggs.
Also, while i've enjoyed United's attacking play this season, i
sorta feel that they are lacking a world-class finisher. Van Nist
was the best, but i can understand and accept Fergie's tactical
explanation for selling him. However, at times, United do need
someone as single minded and selfish as that, and i feel that at
the moment, Berbatov would fit the bill. Only thing that i dun like
abt Berba is that he's a little too right-footed. Smith is willing
to use his left and Saha provides genuine either-footedness, so
they wld be the ideal parts of the mix and match.
We'll just hv to wait and see.
