Three Reds get England
Alan Smith and Ben Foster have been named in Steve McClaren's
England B squad to face Albania on May 25.
Burnley's Turf Moor will host the end-of-season encounter, which
will also afford Newcastle striker Michael Owen an international
return after injury.
Smith's call-up caps a fine end of season for the United striker,
who last played international football in England's World Cup
qualifying win over Poland in October 2005.
Foster is one of only two goalkeepers in the squad, alongside first
choice Paul Robinson, and is likely to clock up more minutes in his
burgeoning international career.
Meanwhile, United Reserves midfielder Sam Hewson has been called up
to the England U19s squad for next week's UEFA European U19
Championship Elite Qualifying Round.
England face Russia (at Walsall, 15 May), Holland (at Coventry, 17
May) and Czech Republic (at Northampton, 20 May) for a place at the
finals in Austria.
