rumours
The agent of AC Milan midfielder Rino Gattuso is keen to play down
the long-term interest of Manchester United ahead of their
Champions League showdown.
Gattuso has revealed this season that United have come in
for him on at least three separate occasions, only to be
stonewalled by Milan.
Aware that transfer talk is sure to increase as the semifinal draws
near, the Italian midfielder's agent, Andrea D'Amico, told Tutto
Mercato Web: "This meeting is far too important for him to be
affected by these type of issues.
"The appreciation of a great club like Manchester United is always
appealing, but it's useless at the moment as Rino is focused only
on his own team.
"Rino has said he wants to close his career in Scotland, that's
true, but the end of his playing days is still a long way away.
He's only 29 years old."
