Talks have taken place between the two clubs since Bayern crashed out of the Champions League to AC Milan last Wednesday. Hargreaves, 26, has also again told the German clubs chiefs he wants a move to Old Trafford. United owners the Glazers are ready to back boss Alex Ferguson with the cash. Fergie has also hailed the Glazers for staying out of on-pitch matters. He said: The Glazers have been fine they havent interfered with anything. They said to let them know if there is anything I need.

CKeer SG I doubt so. United always looks shaky when they are not playing 4-4-2. It is their standard formation for the past 20 years (Ever since Fergie took over). United's most dangerous play is their wing play, how can you leave out Giggs? Cheers. CK
zocoss SG I feel Scholes's time in the middle is coming to an end... therefore getting Hargreave would be a good idea. Carrick is beginning to show that he can take scholes attacking midfield place soon and Hargreaves can come in to do the defensive midfielder's job. My guess is at most, Scholes may have one more year as a top midfielder after that, he probably won't be able to play as well if the number of games are 60plus every season... To be fair, Carrick is beginning to look like a real bargain even at $18m although he is more like between $14-$18m.
Spica SG X2. Just look at how formidable our wings are with Giggs and Ronaldo holding the fort. They work beautifully with Carrick and Scholes in pumping the balls to Rooney and Smith.
