Manchester United are ready to test Tottenham's resolve over their star striker Dimitar Berbatov.

The News of the World says the Bulgarian is trying to renegotiate his contract with Spurs and that will alert the attention of Alex Ferguson.

Berbatov is looking to at least double his current £22,000-a-week agreed when he signed a four-year deal last summer.

Spurs have slapped an inflated £40million price tag on his head.

But United would test Spurs' resolve with a summer bid in the region of £25m.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

for those who saw him play, any comments?

any resemblance to any MUFC's strikers, past and present?

For example, Saha did "better" than RVN, cause he is more a team player, and he likes to come to MF to take the ball, and drives at the enemies.

What does this guy does?

more tactical?

£25m ?

so ex?

this is the price for world class player lei

Fergie wanted to buy him before Spurs bought him so it wouldn't be surprise if Fergie is still interested on him now that he has prove that he can make it in the EPL...

It is strange that whenever Man u seem to be interested on a player, many other clubs will suddenly take notice of them too...

Anyway, even $25m is too much. I belief a reasonable price would be something below $20m... Anyway, his salary is rather low for a striker of his standard.

used SG

but the thing abt berbatov is his loyalty. i dont think money would be the problem.
