Deco believes Barcelona is the ideal place for international
team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo to ply his trade.
The Manchester United winger has been the subject of speculation
over his future recently, with Real Madrid and Barcelona both
expressing an interest.
Ronaldo himself has been coy as to where his future lies, although
The Red Devils are determined to tie their superstar to a long-term
contract.
Deco has called on the 22-year-old to join him at Camp Nou if he
decides to quit the Premiership anytime soon.
"I would love it if he came to play at Barca," Deco told Radio
Marca. "I believe it is the ideal club for him.
"There are big clubs interested in Cristiano Ronaldo, but I
personally believe that Barca would be better than Madrid, because
of the team's form, the city is an ideal place to live, etc."
Meanwhile, speaking about the row involving Samuel Eto'o and
Ronaldinho earlier this week, Deco insists there are no lingering
problems between the pair.
The Brazilian playmaker was critical of Eto'o after the striker
refused to come on as a substitute against Racing Santander on
Sunday.
"It is difficult to get back to your normal rhythm and that creates
anxiety, because people pressure you," Deco added.
"The press were anxious to see something and they (Eto'o and
Ronaldinho) talked about giving each other a hug to see their
reaction.
"There weren't any problems, everything had been sorted out before
and they just wanted to see how people reacted.
"It was a bit of a joke really."
