thats what i tot when man utd was going thru a barren spell in the last 3 seasons when arsenal, then chelsea, dominated. check out the list of flops he signe...

stellazio SG

but their goal also came from an Evra cross. Laughing

actually its because ronaldo doesn't track back to help out the full backs.

Arsenal had a great game…

dragg SG

arsenal looked tired.

they were lucky to win. a draw would have been a fairer result. anyway the premiership is more interesting now.

man u paid the prize for not playing an attacking game. i have an impression they were looking for a draw.

Deportivo SG

great gif. sums up the whole match.

Inzaghi SG

a draw will be a fair result...

the lost make the EPL look more interesting, but wont change much too..its still a 2 way fight bt Man utd n chelsea...

Arsenal looks like a team tat will beat all top teams but will end up nothing this season...

Agreed Arsenal played a better game. Utd was good for the 1st 10 mins, den lose their concentration. They could hardly penetrate Arsenal's defence at times. Since the lead is going to be maintained at 6 pts, I wld rather both Utd and Chelsea won their games. At least can shake off Lvp and Arsenal by greater points diff.

The better team won Neutral

Ronaldo was already not in the game when arsenal scored. he was sub in the 81 min Van Persie scored in the 83rd-minute. Had ronaldo still been on, it might have been different.

dragg SG

thats because man u were looking for a draw.

they should have gone all out for a win. 9 points will really kill of the title challenge. even if man u had lost 6 points is a good enough backup.

Nah... i thought at the end of the weekend the results was still good. If you had asked me before the weekend that united would still be 6 pts away from chelsea i would have taken it without a thought... Cos to go to arsenal was a very tough away match. So now this is out of the way and chelsea still have to visit arsenal towards the end of the season when the pressure really builds up...

To be fair, this was a weekend that could have seen united's lead cut to 4 or even 3 points... cos of arsenal's red hot form and pool's unpredictable form but the surprised lost by chelsea made it all the more better.

I think what this weekend results did would also put more pressure on chelsea cos if they don't win, they may not even get 2nd now (auto spot in CL) and they will start to look nervously over their shoulders if pool or gunners are closing in on them...

iceFatboy SG

hi,
I admit MUFC got outplayed by a better team...

but when read the sun papers, they said title wide open, I laughed..
Gunners are what 12 points behind MUFC. and for them to even catch up, it requires MUFC to lose 4 matches in the last 13 matches or even Chelsea to drop that much, I think a bit difficult.

windjammer SG

MU second rated when met ARSEnal last nite....

better luck nexr time....

Laughing

Actually it was quite an even match. Man u slow down when the took the lead… Otherwise, they did play rather well i would say. Anyway, the weekend is over and they are still 6 points in the lead, that is most important.

CKeer SG

Congrats to Arsenal, they played better den United last nite.

Anyway, to sum things up, United will always switch off at the wrong moment. How many time have we seen this before?

But wadever the case is, it's a job well done by the gunners.

Neville go and die la. I hate u to the core.
Laughing

Cheers.

I thought it was a mistake to have taken out Ronaldo... and put in Heinze. Had Ron still be on the field, he might have help Scholes out in that area... Heinze went straight into the centre of the box to make it 5-4-1 when they were doing well with a 4-4-2 formation. And he didn't help cover the left-back position when Eboue broke away from Evra...

You notice when Ronaldo run on the wing, there is always at least 2 arsenal players near him... But united didn't do that on their area. Neutral

superstrongnlong SG

ManU middle really cannot lah! Now they really wished they got Ballack ! Laughing

798 SG

Hail King Henry! Very Happy

with or without ronaldo actually made no difference, should ronaldo be in the field, he most likely will ended up being send off. ferguson was smart to take him off.

iceFatboy SG

Oh really, it was only in the 80mins that you managed to score..

okie, this season you did the double over us..

but we shall see..

iceFatboy SG

why are so many non-MUFC coming here??
stick to the sports forum please...

stellazio SG

ok didn't see ronaldo coming off, but whoever was on the left wing at that time totally left evra outnumbered.

lpx88 SG

Some tactics by United were questionable. They should have jus stick to their normal game plan IMO

Nonetheless Arsenal took advantage of these things and their home ground to play more hungry football than United. They deserve to win.
