shld man U splash 50m on Ronaldinho

red_amoeba SG

chelsea is reported in tribalfootball (maybe crap) that they want to splash 50m on Ronaldinho - shld Man U follow suit?

I recall Man U actually tried to sign the Brazilian before his move to Barca and personally i think he is a very good signing indeed.

Or will SAF land him only when he is past his 30s (eg: Larsson, VDS, Laurent Blanc)? Mr. Green

u must be mad... 50m on a single player... Rolling Eyes

anyway, roanldinho has stated he will not be going anyway sooner..so chelskis might have to wait a little longer if they want to bid for him..

Eh. NO. 50 million can get at least 3 world class players varying at different ages.

the Bear SG

he could go and destabilise a winning team...

i remember another lesser player going to Newcastle and destabilising the whole team.. Asprilla was a great player in his own regard but putting him in messed up the balance of the team and ultimately, it fell apart...

could happen to MUFC...

also, in MUFC, no player is bigger than the club and no one challenges SAF.. Ronaldinho could be one who may end up challenging SAF and it may end in tears..

Chelsea is in enough trouble as it is without adding another financial burden to their money pit

well said..

no man is bigger than the team..

and if he is bought, the rest will want a salary increase, and then the whole finance will collapse..

and is he really that good? I rather we spend on a DM and a Left-winger...

we dont need him now.

Think: Where can he play?

And he might be another Shevchenko if he cant adapt to the new style of the EPL and the man utd's way of playing.

Ronaldinho is doing so well at Barcelona is becos of speedy strikers that could finish the chances he created. Thunk Eto'o, Saviola, Messi and Giuly.

Does United have any pacy players? I think only Saha and Ronaldo fits the bill. Rooney is only slightly faster than avaerage. Carrick has no pace. Giggs and Scholes are getting old.

So how is Ronaldinho gonna fit into United's team? He's Right-Footed but spends most of his playing time at Barca on the left. He can replace ageing Giggs but the price is too steep and he might not be as effective here at EPL becos of the physical battles and swift counter-attacks.

One costly flop at the bridge is enough. Do we need more? Mr. Green

Cheers.
