Are we in better position to win the league??

Given that we got a lead coming from the new year, it does seems that MUFC is in a better position than previous two seasons to end their barren EPL title run.

Given our previous good runs in the latter stage, does MUFC now have the confidence or the necessary killer edge to deny all others?

they cant hardly create enough chances, let alone score. and even if they do, they dont score enough to guarantee winning a match.

i think the destiny is in the hands of Man U. I hope the draw with Newcastle represent only a blip and won't go into a series of draws. The defense has been strong so far but they should not go into cruise mode with one or two goal lead.

It seem they are not finishing off the opponents soon enough. As Man U fan, I want to see goal glut - like the 6-0 drubbing dished out by Reading. In this way, they send fear to rest of their opponents.

Its not every week you will get a 6-0, 5-0 or even 3-0 result. Its not easy. Man u did well against Newcastle i thought, cos it isn't easy to play away matches these days... They even had a goal line clearance towards the end of that game. We must not forget that Newcastle are a good side and on form recently especially at home. So a point gain there is also a good result considering they took the lead first, it could have been worst. And also they got 10 points out of the 12 for the holiday matches... Arsenal and Pool both got 9 out of 12 while Chelsea got 6 from a possible of 12. So 10 points in this period was consider good i would say. Cos you cannot expect them to win every match, its just impossible... Mr. Green

I'd really like to see Rooney, Carrick and Fletcher buck up abit.

Rooney's form is very dreadful of late. He hasn't break his scoring duck since his Hat-Trick at Bolton.

Carrick has not scored since joining United and his relax style of play is worrying especially when Defensive Midfielders are breathing down your neck once you got the ball.

Do you see Fletcher's performance in Newcastle match? It's really awful. Mis-timed tackles, wayward passes and sudden lapse of concentration. I wonder why Fergie didn't sub him off soon enough.

Where's Smudge(Alan Smith)? Ask Fergie.

Now with Cech, Terry, Robben and even JCole coming back, he feels that they are in with a big shout.

My reply is, MUFC aren't robots, and yes, there are swings.

And one very impt consideration, with Cech, Terry, Robben coming back, are they really 100%?

Cech has a near-fatal head injury, how is he going to perform?How is he going to react if a burly opposing player comes flying in during set pieces?

with Terry, it is a back injury where we all know are delicate. how fragile or strong he will be is a question mark?

I do hope that all are well, and playing cause it is just senseless to throw away your career just a half a season of football..

As much as I hate to admit it, the title is for Man U to lose. At their position now, it is hard to see them losing the title unless they self-destruct. Man U is my number one hate target as with most Liverpool fans haha! Mr. Green But then they are really playing well this season.....

As for Chelsea, Mourinho talks too much recently. It is one thing to play mind games but to see him talk every other day that Man U has blown it, when Man U is ahead of his team, is just a reflection of his fear that Man U is running away with the title. He said Man U has blown the chance to extend the lead. Man U played first and drew with Newcastle and Chelsea later drew with Villa. If anything, it is Chelsea who blew the chance to catch up.

Of course in my fantasy world, I hope both of them falters and Liverpool wins the title. Laughing

the writing is on the wall for this year epl for chelsea, first cech out since oct, then terry out for 1 mth, cole out for the season and robben out for a few weeks, not to mention selling gallas and huth, and ballack and sheva struggling to adapt to epl frenetic pace of football.
