Sir Alex plans to recall Giuseppe Rossi from his loan spell at Newcastle because he is not getting enough games, while Alan Smith has begun an intensive fitness programme to improve his sharpness. That would suggest that the United boss is looking to bring in a midfielder in January as numbers in defence are plentiful. Following the signing of Larsson, the United boss could have six forwards available in the New Year including Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha, Ole Solskjaer, Rossi, Smith. iceFatboy SG given that Ole could be in his final seasons, Smith is not even on his full power, Rooney can't perform as out & out, Saha a bit erratic, we do need one out-out striker.. as for MF, we need a DM. OwenH will fit okie.

lpx88 SG Actually thats probable.He fits the player where he can slowly learn the ropes from Giggs.If we buy ribery we wont be doing justice to him by relegating him to the bench.He deserves to be a first team starter in every team.Giggs have alrdy cemented his place in the first team already. But Downing is a english player.Price is surely inflated.

red_amoeba SG can try Simao bah...the prospect of playing w/ Ronaldo shld tempt him instead of languishing at benfica or if not double the efforts to sign Torres. But I think the dream combi will be signing both Aaron Lennon and Stewart Downing....they can then replace Scholes & Giggs.
