I am the nice guy that you were referring to that closed the
thread you mentioned.
After much consideration and also after receiving a few PM from
others, I decided to end it. I am sorry that it made you feel
unhappy but perhaps you dont quite understand the reason behind
it. I will try to explain and hopefully you will come to see things
from a different prospective.
I can tell that for you it is just another harmless joke
But
perhaps you care to look at it from a Liverpool supporters point
of view. There is nothing funny about it at all, and if you care to
take a look at the thread again, you will find that you were the
only one that found the thread starters joke a harmless english
joke. The rest didnt seem to think so.
that's because you guys are too uptight
over such a small issue..of all the Man Utd's forum that i'll
joined and Mod, this is the only one thats so restictive and hey,
why do i give a damn to Liverpool fan? i'm a Manchester United fan
thru and thru who cares abt what a pool fan thinks
To begin with, the thread starter hardly or maybe never posted in
this forum before
then he come in and creates a thread that flame
Liverpool in here? If left uncheck, it could cause Man u supporters
and Pool fans to flame each other more... Should we allow such
threads to continue? Well the answer is no in my opinion. Cos this
Man utd forum have always been a clean forum and as much as we
like others to join in our discussion, we dont encourage creating
a flame war with other club supporters. Anyway, Liverpool hasnt
been doing well these past few years so why do we still want to
pick on their supporters?
well, that guy may not have posted in
here but doesn't makes him someone that will come in here to create
a flamming thread if we are mature enough to see where he is coming
from.
also, i dun pick on clubs that are doing
well or otherwise, i pick on the words that that very guy/gal said
whichever club he/she is from..whether or not he Liverpool or
otherwise
Secondly, cracking a couple of light hearted joke at other teams is
fine and I agree with you on that but the foul words that he used
were not appropriate as i feel many will take offence and did
Personally, and maybe I think I speak for the rest of the mods here
too that we wouldnt like such offensive words to be used in this

I wouldnt like other club fans to use such language on Man
utd too and I belief we may share the same sentiments on
this.

can you? and when that happens, do you go round crying foul? its
ppl mouth and it might be more then 1 mouth eventually, you can
stop 1 but can you stop all?
As for your reason that Sports folder didnt lock the post Man Utd
cheated to beat Chelsea" Well, let me tell you why and its not
because the mod over there suddenly became more mature in the last
2 months
rather because there are other reasons which I do not
wish to say
Many threads less provocative were lock in sports just
barely 2 months ago
even ordinary club threads were told to post
at its respective folders
I can also say that many threads created
by clones with the intention of flaming man utd fans should have
been closed too in sports but unfortunately wasnt.
so are we supposed to go round crying
foul when that didn't happen? like i've said, most of us here are
pretty mature in handling such stuff hence hardly anyone respond to
those thread unless its some friendly neighbourhood fans that we
wanted to play with

any thread, and this is the first I have closed in here. Hope my
reason can be accepted and we can all move on and prepare for

and i hope every one of them progress and to tell you the truth, it
needs more then just a couple Man Utd's news to make a Man Utd's
forum progress well..
