WAYNE ROONEY reckons he would have been a builder or on the dole
if it was not for football.
The Manchester United and England star admitted: Id probably be
unemployed although a lot of my mates from school are builders so
maybe something like that.
Its difficult for me to say though. I love football its all
Ive ever done.
Rooney also revealed he is determined to be a decent role
model.
He said: Kids look up to footballers.
When I was younger my role models were Duncan Ferguson, Alan
Shearer and Michael Owen. Now Im in that position Ive become more
conscious.
If someones trying to mark me then it leaves space for other
players to run into. If someones that determined to stop me, I
take it as a compliment.
Rooney admitted he would love to captain England one day. He said:
Its certainly something to aspire to.
"Hopefully it could happen, but if it doesnt, I wont be
heartbroken. Its not one of my biggest worries.
