haha.. the castles i visited was really dark inside. stone
everywhere. really feel like i was transported back into the
medieval times.
u realise that english castles usually have small slits around the
castle walls? it is for the defence of the castle from attacks. the
slits enable the soldiers to shoot with their arrows.
and also the spiral stairs? lt is usually goes clockwise in
direction when u are going up. reason for it is that it makes it
diffcult for the attackers to use their swords to fight their way
up. and also it makes it easier for the defender to fend off the
attacker from the top down.
