thanks Arjun for understanding my thoughts.
Well Limitbreak, i shall explain to you how i feel abt
models.
"how can you have sentimental vaalue for something you just bought
off someone from yahoo auctions a few days ago"
yes, anyone can have sentimental value or feelings for that
particular model even before you have it, becos, its either u
really like the real thing or you have been searching high and low
for it, but couldn't find one until now. It s just like how UT
mclaren means to alot of collectors, many are looking high n low
for them, even though they haven't own one yet, to them, its a must
to have and really would mean something to them.
"and is selling for a big profit?"
then again, i'm not really keen to sell it off, but i just stated
the price i'm willing to let go if someone is interested.
anyway, if any of you guys or fellow collectors who knows me, would
know that i know about models market value. and i rate each model
by their rarity to get their market value.
that is why always the models i'm selling is much higher priced
than fellow collectors here.
but then again, some of the models that i'm letting go is not what
everyone could find or have in their collections.
its more of "you want it, you can have it. but you have to pay a
premium for it."
the diablo sv was a fair deal, the seller was willing to sell at
that price, i didn't bargain at all, i want it, i paid it, so i got
it.
to regards of how much is its next sale value would be determined
by the current owner.
each model might have a different value to different collector, to
a collector who likes only JDM, he wouldn't care about exotics or
how much it could be sold. its the same if the collector only likes
exotics, he wouldn't care about the pricing of the actual value
that a JDM model holds.
to one it might hold a value of $400, to another it might just be,
"oh.. its cheap...!! looks not bad.. maybe i would pay $80 for it
to place in my collection"
it all depends of each different person on how they view it.
thats all.
