Jasonist SG yea... this i would need to do a little explanation here... coz both these models are 2005 "showcar" versions, meaning that they use 2004 chasis but put on 2005 liveries... so i treat them as 2004 models according to their chasis design...
Jasonist SG next up - 1/18 Sauber Petronas C24 Showcar version of Jacques Villeneuve from Minichamps.
Jasonist SG coz its the only available in my place here... btw, wat do u think between the difference of showcar and race car from Minichamps? any thoughts and views towards the difference??? izit the value difference or izit the anything???
gp3 SG I think there is no price difference. The difference is the car’s wings and all sorts of tiny parts changed and upgrade found on the race version of the real car.
Jasonist SG but i think its better if we can collect race car version le... unless there is no choice like me here de... anyway, here is my 2005 f1 collection starting with some hotwheels models, first up - the McLaren Mercedes MP4/20 of Juan Pablo Montoya...
Jasonist SG if able to get Minichamps version then is much better... i wonder y Hotwheels miss the Montoya word for Juan Pablo... and Raikkonen for Kimi... and the alcoholic sponsor Johnnie Walker they oso have missed! but not for Minichamps... here are two shots of Ferrari F2005 of Michael Schumacher... the last car numbered 1 by Michael...
gp3 SG Its not that mattel hotwheels missed the Johnnie Walker branding, it is just the policy of their company not to have any alcoholic stuff, as u know, their company toys are mainly for kids...and another reason for their Mp4 20 not to have Johnnie Walker brand is because their car was based on Canadian Gp (as u can see from the Juan Pablo word at the sidepod), and at that time, WEST cigar was still the sponsor, and JW is still behind secretly sponsoring due to JW do not want to mix with cigar, therefore their brand is still not there until the Hungarian GP when WEST stop sponsoring. Mattel already produced the MP4 20 before the Hungarian GP..
Jasonist SG hmm... since they have the policy, then the models will look a bit plain compared to Minichamps, especially the McLarens... btw, i found tat theres oso alcohol/tobacco decals specially for the Hotwheels Ferrari and McLaren models as well... anyway, here is my next 2005 collection BMW Williams FW27 of Mark Webber, the final model of cooperation between BMW and Williams... enjoy!
Jasonist SG 2005 formula one collection continues... now a Renault R25 of Giancarlo Fisichella from Hotwheels...

gp3 SG I heard that the mattel ones are releasing on SEP 7 in other countries. Here are pictures of all mattel F1 2007, it really sucks for the Mclaren MP4-22, the ferrari, williams and renault is okay, but quality has improved a little only. Firstly , R27: MP4-22: FW29: F2007: And well, you can only get Minichamps F1 models at f1.com.sg and at the 2 Nikko Shops in Singapore. While for Mattel, u can get them at any department store. Conclusion, this year's Mattel F1 still looks bad to me for the Mclaren!!
Jasonist SG don worry i will post the shots in times to come... for now, i will upload the shots according to season...
jackygwh SG wah man i love the R27 really looks fresh and nice but the Mclaren stil so so ya ? not stunning ferrari too... the colour looks diff.... how bout spyker ? any pic ?
gp3 SG Huh, Spyker? Mattel produce 4 teams this year only. Or you meant Minichamps?? But anyway, here are 2 pictures of 1:8 Amalgam Spyker 2007:
Jasonist SG wow the 1/8 scale does look real when it comes to photoshoot... if u don say its a diecast, i still think its a 1/1 real car! btw, Jacky... its nice to see u here! wana see ur post here soon!!! hehe..
