I think you're being quite unreasonable by saying those pics aren't sufficient enough. In fact, it's rather pointless.
Those photos do the car enough judgment.
Are you able to take photos that are somewhat on par with those? It's a classic case of "don't give advice to others that you simply won't or can't use". The concept is similar.
I'm not saying your photos are terrible, but if you're saying these aren't good enough, and if that were to be true, my eyes would be blind if i ever click on any photos of yours again.
I'm just voicing my opinion out. No real offense here.

Read what I wrote again.. I'm not saying it wasn't sufficient... It's sufficient enough for me to see that the door fit is not that good.. it's also sufficient enough for me to see that the panel fit at the back with the wire mesh has a flaw..
BUT, it ISN'T sufficient enough for me to see how good the engine detailing is, it ISN'T sufficient enough for me to see how the interior is like, it ISN'T sufficient enough for me to see the brake discs and calipers...
Therefore, I CAN'T give a conscise evaluation of its proper outlook and build quality...
If you can see how good those details are from Eddy's pictures, then good for you... to me, the pictures aren't helpful enough...

And I don't see the similarity to your concept since Eddy didn't take those pictures, he got them off the net anyway... I'm not giving him advice on HOW to take a picture, I'm just giving my opinion that there are not enough visible details...

I don't really care what you think of my photos, they were all taken with the least amount of trouble and time with just a simple PnS... And again, I'm just stating that the pics are not good enough for me to determine how good the actual model is... not that the pics are "not good enough" as you so succiently put it...

If you really wanted to voice your own opinion, you wouldn't need to mention my own pictures in the first place.. You're the one who's feeling offended, not me.. I'm just giving my own frank and truthful opinion... if you can't handle that, then the onus is on you, not me...

A better idea would be to start a sticky for new releases... then at least it would be easier to read... Mr. Green

Finally, someone who actually reads carefully...

I am kinda curious about the HW Elite range, but so far, none have been able to match up to AA, Minichamps and Kyosho.. I'm hoping Kyosho might do the ferraris too... then we can see the differences..

As usual, you managed to write an essay probing deep into issue, trying to sound how much you know or how right you are.
In the first place, I have to say, no one has anything against you. But sometimes I feel that you need to change your attitude. Be more receptive, and cut that assumption that you know much about everything. And if you have nothing beneficial to say, please save the comments to yourself.

If you just could not take it anymore, as I already said earlier, no one forces you to stay in the forum.

well...i guess the tension is somewhat still present...

whether a photo is good enuf is realli up to each individual...and the comment a person might have is largely dependant on him too...somewhat, ple do say things at times which they dun realli meant it that way, but its realli seems intruding for others to see it...

i feel mark's realli doin us a flavour by dropping us a post on the latest updates, and like what ypeich has suggested a new arrival thread would realli be good Smile maybe some might already have the latest info or pics or wat, but there'll always be ple like me who need it...and if the pics arent evident enuf to show all the small details, we'll juz have to wait for the real stuff's here...rite?

aniwae...its just a pic....and i guess all of us're looking at details...at different angles...if nt we'd have just got hooked onto some other hobbies instead...and perhaps our collections wld consist of maisto and bburagos?

My posts aren't even hugely offensive, it's a running joke I have with eddy.. you can ask him.. he knows my intentions are neither harmful nor offensive to him... I'm just countering the comments you guys left...

You want to talk about respect? How about the respect you should have accorded me when you just removed my mod status when I was away?? And you didn't even have the courtesy to inform me of the decision that you two supposedly made, not even a PM, an sms or anything.. Even Eddy didn't know about it until I asked him... So what respect is there? To him and me??

Since when is an honest open opinion offensive? I've told you before, I am a VERY direct person... even after I told you that, you were still sarcastic... so who's the one who should be more receptive? You know how direct I can be and that its just me being honest... when I joke, I usually put a smiley face... and most of them have it...

So do you think you really are in a position to judge me? This is me being honest... and that is my honest opinion... I don't mean to offend anyone, but if me being honest has that effect, then so be it... at least I'm no pretentious...

OK, to clarify things, i posted those comments becasue eddy was indeed offended by your post. If you dont mean it that way, maybe you can put it less bluntly.

And regarding that mod status incident, i will wait for eddy himself to clear that doubt. Furthermore, i already explained to you as to why i removed you as mod.

You did explain to me.. only AFTER I found out.. what I meant was that you didn't have the courtesy to inform me of it, or even tell me 'Hey, mind if I remove your mod status? I feel two mods enough already' I would have gladly agreed... instead you just removed it and neglected to tell me...

No one is judging you, but if you look at your own posts, maybe even youself can find them offensive.
You like being direct in the forum huh? So whats so good about that? You know that you could offend others by being too direct? You should start being more sensitive to others and how they would think when they see your posts.

Well, i guess its my turn to end this thing.
i will keep it short and simple.
1st of all, i had not log in for 1 whole day due to preparing for my exam.
the main purpose of the forum is to promote our hobby and hope for constructive comments.
i dont have any idea as to y the new pic thread will link to removal of mod issue and flaming.
to clarify, i posted the pic when i got it online due to the fact tat i wanted to share with everybody. I was hoping for some discussion abt the model.

The misunderstanding thing started when chris posted comments such as "pictures not up to standard" This kind of sensative and provoke pple to attack.
Basically i feel that in this forum there is a freedom of speech, every1 can comment and every1 is entitle to his/her own opinions. But certain issue are not interpreted correctly by individually. some may not take it as a joke while some vent their anger posting in forum, while others take it as a pinch of salt.

To tell the truth, both parties has its own points and there are a few members in the forum whose have given their points.

In conclusion, i have to apologise if i have create misunderstanding or flaming due to my pics. I hope everybody can enjoy the models hobby and give constructive advises. Let all be abit more sensative to posts and some may even take it as a pinch of salt.

There is no pin pointing of who is right and who is wrong cos i dont wish to burn too much brain cell talking abt this issue. To add on, i sincerely thanks those who take time and effort in writting and replying this post

Can we let bygones be bygones and let enjoy collecting together.
Let us receive our year end model pic shoot with enthu and hopes for many good years of model collecting. Very Happy

Being direct to me, is about being honest... I tell it like it is... That is what I think of it, that is my own honest opinion... If you take it as just an honest opinion, then ask yourself if you would still be offended...

What started as just a running joke between me and eddy has escalated into this debacle just because you guys didn't take it like it was meant to be taken... a joke...
I didn't say his pics were lousy.. I just said the quality wasn't good enough to evaluate the model's build quality, the pic was on the small side, couldn't see enough details... Does that still sound offensive to you?

I might need to be more sensitive, but maybe you're too sensitive too? Taking offense when no offense was intended...

It's time to end this... I will still give my honest opinion, but I'll try to not be so direct so I won't offend others...

But, I would also like to say this... You're not as sensitive as you think you are too... You also offended me in the past, but I chose to let it go, cos I figured that was your character... Since I want to clear everything up, I'll leave it at that... The next step is yours...

Although this issue ended, as a "long timer", I feel that LH83 was just being plain logical and straightforward. I would have never reacted in the way others did to his words. And I never found his posts offensive. Infact no one in this forum is offensive Rolling Eyes

I seriously doubt HW's Elite versions. Maybe their Super Elite versions are indeed worthy but I rather spend those kinda top bucks on getting BBR instead Neutral
