You'll never get wintery weather here, but rain showers are
random and unpredictable. Oh, and the humidity!
You can walk around pretty safely in the small hours without
getting mugged, but tabs (cigarettes) and booze are pretty
expensive.
Cheap taxi fares compared to other countries, but at times demand
outstrips the supply of taxis which aren't waiting for surcharge
periods!
Trains and buses can get crowded and commuters won't think twice
about shoving their way through, or not moving to the empty seat
next to the window. At least by most standards they're frequent and
reliable.
Try to get used to the local patois, a blend of Asian dialects and
tongues and broken English.
You can get a wide variety of dishes in a single food court or
hawker centre.
I'll get back to you later.
