I have lost like 3 bicycles before, whole bicycle including lock
and chain. Reported all 3 incidence to the police, and so what? I
don't think the police will bother to search for the bicycle since
they are not high-end type.
Plus, there is no way to identity the bicycle even if it is
found. Even if you see a bungala riding your bicycle, anyway to
prove that it is yours?
Have checked with the police on engraving and registration
service years ago and the ONLY station which provide this is in
Pasir Ris (and surpisingly, most police officer don't even know
there's such a service available when I check!).
Unfortunately, I lived just too far from Pasir Ris to have my
bicycle engraved. For those living nearby, you may want to try it
(ONLY available on Sunday at certain times, and better check before
going in case they stopped the service again due to low
demand).
