Heres the situation.
My bike's front wheel has just got punchered. I have no will of
repairing it but i would like to buy a new tyre instead.
Now heres the problem.
The front wheel i am currently using now is a road wheel. To change
to a mountain wheel, do i need to change the whole rims or
'carcass' of the wheel or just the tyre itself ?
My front tyre is 1.4'

There is no need to change the rim , a 26 inch rim should have
no problem accomadating the mountain bike tires as most are
available in 26 inch.
Just make sure there is enough clearance from the fork if your
using those type of aero forks
