allen at 30 million is a bargain buy

mark my words

Ah Rod pretty daring.

He got rid of Adam, Carroll and Spearing.

Trying to get rid of Henderson, Downing and Cole.

If he hit by injury crisis, he will be in crisis.

Jacky Woo SG

is Allen really that good from the past 3 matches he played?

rodgers make wholesale changes too soon, like how AVB tried to implement changes too quickly and lost the dressing room.hmmm.....rodgers seem to go the way of AVB.........the predicament he is facing now, is all his own making, although it is not entirely his fault, but he is culpable. he sold kuyt, adams and released bellamy and send caroll on loan with no replacement and tried to trade stewart downing, henderson, spearing.........I think he is fast losing the dressing room soon, with so many discontented players at the dressing room. Joe Cole has no hope of playing in the team after his loan in france.

Liverpool is petty much very rojak right now. Players moving in and out

Allen is really not too bad, his is one of the better few in the squad right now, but he still not that good.

His passing complete rate is of course very good, but see game then you know liao, he dun take any risk in his passing which means very low threat to defence.

Jacky Woo SG

he is better than Borini. Borini seem to be a dud buy at the moment. Allen is a good long term replacement for stevie G, but make no mistake, he is not in the same class as him when he was his age. I feel that Henderson should be given a chance to prove as he is still young. if he is no good, can always sell him later. as for stewart downing, seemed that liverpool paid over the price for him at 20m, maybe can give him a chance to shine, as he is still 27 and england international. Rodger ought to rid of Joe Cole, who is old and lack of pace, so as to take his wages off.

I.imba SG

Borini is a center striker, dunno why is he on the wing. Then opposite for Suarez.

Allen is more like a replacement? partner for Lucas i think. Allen dun really go forward that much. Shelvy is more likely the replacement for Gerrard's role in the attacking midfield position. Henderson is always there but given no chance to show yet...

Jacky Woo SG

if 15m is a bargain for Allen, then henderson at 18-20m how? waste of money? you bet........

Back then, when Pool bought Xavi Alonso from Real Sociedad for £10m was a much much better bargain compared to Joe Allen.

yes of course. Alonso is a world cup and european cup winners too. Spanish players are technically better than UK players. UK players are traditionally brute players, hustle bustle, long balls for strikers to chase, corner kicks, free kicks style of play.

a-Lost-9uY SG

yea i agreed wif u.. but e tink is Alonso only gets regular international call-ups during his time @ Pool rather than R.Sociedad..

Jacky Woo SG

dun talk about alonso, he is history at liverpool already.

As for Allen, maybe he can be better than Carrick in future

huddlestone? is he any good? rotting now at spurs isnt he.

haiz take riquelme ba

he old but passing still the best

charlize SG

You want the passing players, you get from Madrid.

Can afford or not?

Cant buy then loan lor. see sahin, but he is not as good as i expected leh

Jacky Woo SG

the buys from liverpool were getting from bad to worse.

last season's stewart downing, adam, henderson, to this season's borini, allen etc. who's next I wonder?

this is so unlike of the great liverpool teams of the 70s and 80s, with the likes of john barnes, peter beardsley, Daglish, Keegan, Glen Hysen of yesteryears.

hewhoshallnotbenamed SG

second rate team, second rate talent. mid-table club still heading downwards. rodgers has a huge task on his hands to turn this around. it would be a miracle if they manage to secure a europa league spot at the end of the season.
