since joining spurs from BB in 2008, he didnt play a game for
spurs for 4 seasons. is he finished as a top flight footballer
after so many years out in the doldrums? He joined FC Rostov on
loan till January.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley has joined FC Rostov
on Russian transfer deadline day.
Bentley, who earned seven caps for England, has slipped well
down the pecking at White Hart Lane and will join Rostock on loan
until January.
The former Arsenal trainee joined Spurs from Blackburn Rovers in
2008 for a then club record fee of £15 million, but has not played
for Spurs since November 2010.
The 27-year-old ended the 2011 season on loan at Birmingham and
had looked to reestablish himself in the Championship with West Ham
but a knee injury ruined his time at Upton Park.
Bentley will team up with former Liverpool striker Florent
Sinama Pongolle at Rostov, who joined the Russian Premier League
club on a free transfer earlier this week.
