Many Sg drivers, when they are behind the wheel of a vehicle,
they feel they are the king of the road, they take on a new life
form.
From the affable, nice to noe you, upright person, to a selfish,
self-centred, "get outta my way cos I am inside my steel cocoon
where i have no feeling for others cos i feel invincible and cannot
get hurt or killed" monster. That's why you see drivers become mean
when they start driving their vehicles.
I was in France 2 weeks ago. They have 2 lane highways. One for
speeding and one for cruising. These Frenchies are #1 when it comes
to courtesy. When they wanna overtake, they signal and overtake.
Once they overtake, they signal and align themselves onto the
cruising lane. Never once have I seen a Frenchie cruise in the
overtaking lane.
In Sg, it is very very common to see Sg drivers cruising in the
overtaking lanes or worse, overtaking others in cruising lanes!!

In France, you hardly hear drivers blowing their horn towards other
drivers or pedestrians. They will patiently let the pedestrians
move over or away and than drive off. If blocked by vehicles up
front, they will wait patiently too, or try to squeeze pass without
having to resort to blowing horns.
Try blocking a driver in SG and you'll get an earful of horn blasts
and the customary glare and middle finger come uppance!!
