each trick is around $30-40 and some needs a prop (or what me
magicians call, a gimmick) Normally, a trick with a gimmick (if
taught) costs far less coz the gimmick costs quite a lot (normally
below a 100). I have taught quite a few strangers for that fee and
back then, when Internet and P2P were still new (Napster era)...I
have downloaded quite alot (more than 500GB) of Magic tricks
Revealed by some of the leading magicians back then like Jay
Sankey, Brian Ochab, John George and alot of former Ellusionist
magicians (who are right now not performing for being under fire
for exposing their secrets)..Normally, i burn them to CD to those
who require them at $200 a pop..and 4-5 years back, magic was quite
in the trend due to the emergence of David Blaine,Criss Angel and
such..I managed to fund my handphone, ipod and PS2 directly from
selling burned CDs.
For beginners, i recommend u practice card flourishing for
display performance..took me quite a while to master card
flourishing..u may need DvDs to help though..then u can start off
with easy card tricks like 3 card monte, using a Svengali deck and
maybe hovering card.. I still have quite alot of Bicycle cards
mostly ghost deck, svengali decks, gaff cards, Black tiger and blue
ice..
