Gerrard will not go and don't think Liverpool will sell him
also...Good exchange on Torres...One Torres is not better than
Suarez + Carroll...Torres is an excellent striker but life goes
on...couldn't really believe he asked for transfer so late in the
window and to rub salt into the wound...of all places he wants to
go to Chelsea!! I don't know how I will feel next week if he score
against us from the other side.
Anyway, good luck to him. He will be good for at least another 3
seasons, providing he take care of his hamstring!!
If by the end of the season, Liverpool has not shown any
improvement, I reckon Gerrard will ask to leave.
Plus Liverpool should be wise enough to cash in on him since he
is already 30.
Sell him and buy more younger players for the long term.
This is a wise business and footballing move.
As it is, the 2 new strikers just brought in are in their
20s. This means that Liverpool are looking at the long
haul.
By the end of the season, majority of those older players in the
squad should expect to be shipped out.
