According to The
Sunday People, Everton are also interested re-signing the
centre-half, but the player himself remains keen on a move to
London instead.
The 28-year-old arrived from Goodison Park in a £24 million deal in
2009, but has failed to nail down a regular spot in the City
starting line-up as Vincent Kompany and Kolo Toure are ahead of him
in the pecking order.
City boss Roberto Mancini has sometimes preferred youngster Dedryck
Boyata as well, which has seen England international Lescott make
only five starts in the Premier League this term.
Lescott - currently 1418th in the Castrol Rankings, down from 1186th in the previous month - has in
the past hinted that he could leave the Eastlands outfit for
greener pastures, if regular football is not
forthcoming.
