Real Madrid players narrowly escaped injury on Sunday
when the team bus was attacked as it arrived in Barcelona ahead of
El Clasico.
Around 2,000 Real fans were at El Prat airport to greet Jose
Mourinho and his players but as the coach drew up to the Juan
Carlos I hotel stones and bricks were thrown.
Raul Albiol and Alvaro Arbeloa were fortunate not to get hurt as
glass shattered by their seat while a member of the Real security
staff was hit on the head but not seriously injured.
As the tension was cranked up ahead of the match between the
fierce rivals tonight (Monday) Barcelona midfielder Xavi said:
'When you win this game it is like an orgasm, like a casino win.
Your heart skips a beat. But if you lose...
'I remember a few years ago when we won 6-2 in Madrid and it was
an unforgettable feeling of superiority. At the end of the match
you saw the Real players talk to each other and the expression on
their faces said it all.'
Real go into the game unbeaten under Mourinho, winning 15 of
their 19 matches since the former Chelsea boss took charge.

Last year, as coach of European Champions Inter Milan,
Mourinho masterminded the Italians' victory over
Barcelona.
He is also a former employee of the Catalan giants and he said:
'I won at the Nou Camp with Chelsea and with Inter but the past
does not matter.
'The Nou Camp will not forgive me that I took their chance to
play in the final at the Bernabeu stadium. I am persona non grata
at Barcelona and I know my reception will be negative.'
