Newcastle United have beaten Celtic in an attempt to sign
Sol Campbell on a free transfer.
The out-of-contract defender has failed to gain a new deal at
Arsenal, prompting speculation that he will move to what will
potentially be his last club before retirement.
The 35-year-old got married on Saturday and has moved to the North
East. According to The Sunday Express, Campbell will sign
for Chris Hughton’s side when he returns from his
honeymoon.
