Wedded bliss: Sol Campbell and his bride Fiona Barratt
share a kiss after marrying at St Andrew's Church in Corbridge,
Northumberland today
Blushing bride: Ms Barratt arrives at the church with
her father Peter Barratt ahead of the ceremony
Arsenal defender Sol Campbell got married in
Northumberland today, while in Tuscany, Dutch World Cup star Wesley
Sneijder did the same.
Campbell, 35, and Fiona Barratt, 29, married in the
Northumberland village of Corbridge - near her grandfather, Sir
Lawrence Barratt's family home.
Among the guests were former colleagues from Arsenal and
England, including Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Andrew Cole and
Martin Keown.
The couple's nuptials comes a year after Campbell proposed with
a £100,000 diamond ring over a romantic dinner.
Although owning homes in both London and Northumberland, Ms
Barratt has previously said she hopes to raise their children in
the north, of which she wants four.
Ms Barratt was working for Campbell's ex-girlfriend Kelly Hoppen
when they became reacquainted after previously meeting on the beach
in Barbados 12 years ago.

Kelly Hoppen before they dated
Campbell ended his 10 month romance with Hoppen - 15
years his senior - in September 2004 and started dating her
employee the following year.
In May 2006, Barratt ended up leaving Hoppen and starting her
own company - and taking the commission to design Campbell's 18th
century townhouse in Chelsea, which had previously been Hoppen's
project.
The following month, Barratt joined all the other England WAGS
in Baden Baden, Germany during the European Cup.
The down-to-earth designer ended up upsetting some of the other
footballer spouses when she told of the hierarchy.
She said: 'They had no idea who I was, thought I didn’t have a
pot to p**s in and had no idea of my background.
'I didn’t care and got on the bus with my Financial Times and my
sudoku. The non-entity WAGs had to walk out first. The higher the
profile, the later they were.
Of course, Queen Bee Victoria (Beckham) came out last, there
being at least 10 or 15 minutes before she appeared, and her hair
and make-up team were all in the lobby.
'I sat and watched the whole charade. Victoria Beckham... what a
nightmare. She’s such a prima donna.'
Meanwhile Holland’s World Cup star Wesley Sneijder married
Spanish model Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen in a lavish ceremony in
Tuscany.
Sneijder, 26, and van Kasbergen, 25, have been dating for less
than a year, after the international and Inter Milan player, who
last year won the Champions League and Serie A title, left his wife
and four-year-old son last summer.
The affair was a scandal that engrossed Holland.
