Chelsea are on the brink of a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk wing-back Darijo Srna.

Itasportpress.it says only minor details are lacking for Chelsea to complete the signing of the Croatia international.

Srna is excited about the move and confirmed his hopes of joining Chelsea last week. It's understood a four-year deal is close to being agreed.

The wing-back will move to Chelsea for around £14 million.

Tottenham are being linked with Chelsea target Darijo Srna.

The Sun says Croatia's Shakhtar Donetsk wing-back, 28, who can also play in midfield, hopes to seal a £14million switch this summer and join Carlo Ancelotti's Double winners for pre-season training.

Premier League rivals Spurs and German champions Bayern Munich are also in the hunt.

And Shakhtar skipper Srna said: "The deal is not done yet.

"I must get together with the Shakhtar president as we cannot discuss such matters over the phone."

The Daily Mail says Chelsea are continuing to monitor £15m-rated Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Srna but are weighing up other priority positions first.
