Marseille are lining up a sensational bid to rescue Robinho from
his Manchester City hell this summer, according to reports in
France.
The Brazil striker was forced to return to former club Santos
last January in desperate bid to rediscover his form and fitness
ahead of this summer's World Cup.
Having scored five goals in 11 games, Robinho helped his boyhood
club secure the Brazilian title and secure his place in coach
Dunga's World Cup squad.
Up for grabs: Manchester City look likely to
offload British record buy Robinho this summer
But the 26-year-old insists he will not return to Eastlands when
his short-term deal expires next month, urging mega rich City to
let him stay 'quietly' in his homeland.
He said: 'I’m very happy. This is an important title
for me. I found happiness on the pitch here with a wonderful team
that plays attacking football with a smile.

me stay here quietly.'
Walking away: Roninho's fall-out with City boss
Roberto Mancini has ignited Marseille's interest in the
Brazilian
Santos previously admitted that a permanent deal for Robinho is
beyond their economical reach and City will not be so generous in
allowingtheir British record £32.5million transfer signing leave on
the cheap.
It is understood, however, that the Barclays Premier League club
are prepared to cut their losses on Robinho this summer, paving the
way for the French club to make an offer closer to their
demands.
Robinho failed to impress boss Roberto Mancini during his short
time working under the Italian, who is now keen on Inter Milan ace
Mario Balotelli as a direct replacement.
