The unpredictable and dramatic 2009/2010 season continues in
Match week 37, which on its conclusion may result in Chelsea
celebrating the title, manU miraculously taking the lead into the
final day, or Chelsea having to hold the celebrations till final
day.
I recall season 1994/95, when Liverpool play league leaders
blackburn at anfield on the final day of the season, with manU
trailing blackburn by 2pts and needing to defeat West ham at upton
park to stand any chance of overtaking blackburn and winning the
title. When Blackburn took the lead in the game through Shearer,
there was a loud cheer in the stadium. The liverpool equalizer that
followed was greeted with a softer cheer, and the stadium was
virtually silenced when Jamie Redknapp scored the winner in the
final minute of the game. This game was played at Anfield mind
you!
