Pellegrini: I Feel Frustrated And Impotent

Barcelona must be tired after playing in midweek whereas RM has a week of rest as they are out of CL, just like chelsea.

Valdes saved barcelona one on one by VDV.

looks like the coach of RM is going to get the sacked at the end of the season.

stellazio SG

Valdes is making all the saves whereas Casillas doesnt do much except picking the ball out of his net.

Rooney9 SG

barcelona deserved the victory.

I thought madrid actually played quite well also, just that the difference was that they werent clinical enough infront of goal, and gosh is ronaldo selfish..

barcelona precision passing and possession football is nice to watch eh. I have never seen a club side like barcelona playing this type of crisp and eye catching type of football for the last decade, dominating the opponent totally. barcelona seldom loses the ball eh.

When Deco was at Barcelona, his paassing was god-like,too.

I think Casillas shouldn't be Spain's no.1 anymore. Pool's and Barce's keepers are perhaps better than him.

And on the match, Xavi and Iniesta are the main ones pulling the strings for Barce... If without them and replace with Mascherano, Messi will be a lot less effective...

On the 2 teams, while Real had the quality, they lack teamwork. while Barce have both. Real's defence is also a big problem... They switch off for the first goal went they were caught by Barce's quick freekick.

I think Victor Valdes has never played for Spain before leh. Correct me if i'm wrong but he represents Catalonia National Football Team, the official football team of Catalonia, Spain.

Spain's current 3rd choice keeper is Diego Lopez from Villareal.

Anyway, i think Reina could well be Spain's World Cup Number 1. Casillas seems to have grown in his ego in recent years and he hasn't been doing a good job in goal. He has been conceding more goals in recent years with the same amount of games played.

Well Done Barcelona, I'd love to see Real Madrid ending yet another throphy-less season.

yes its quite big. it would most probably decide the liga champion.. Liga rules state that if 2 teams are level on points, their head to head results determine their placement.

Which is pretty dumb imo. The title should be decided over 38 games, not head to head between two teams.

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini was predictably disappointed after his side's 2-0 home loss to Barcelona.

"I feel frustration and impotence," he told As.com.

"We could have done more. Barcelona weren't like in other matches, but they scored first and that made them stronger. We are capable of more than we showed.

"We're the same team as has being playing recently but against this team we rushed things.

"In the end we lost to a superior team."

Now the challenge for the Liga resumes.

"There are 21 points left to fight for and we're not going to give up," Pellegrini said.

"We will force Barcelona to win their matches. They also have the Champions League. If we keep the pressure up we have a chance.

"It's a major loss, but there's a long way left to go. I don't think a champion was crowned tonight."

he will be sacked lar. even if he wins the la liga title. his fate is sealed when RM was knocked out by Lyon in the CL. some more the CL finals is being held at Bernabeu. if barcelona were to win the CL at bernabeu, I wonder whats the reaction then for madrib fans.
