Player of the Season... Messi or Rooney?

last SG · 2010-03-25T08:13:39+00:00

I vote for rooney really. Did you guys see how rooney plays, from striker to defender then to striker again. His everywhere on the pitch running around.

Messi's performance needless to say, a breathtaking 34 goals...

Rooney on the other hand with a total goal tally of 33...

Serie A?

Not many prominent ones this season... maybe Diego Milito of Inter with 20 goals this season...

Anymore candidates?

Who would you pick?

ASKL! SG

player of the season doesn't mean high tally of goals. thats golden boot.

for me it'll be iniesta!

Rooney9 SG

most likely Messi.

but also need to see which team win the CL lar. if united wins the CL, then I will favour Rooney to be best player in the world.

I think Ronaldo will be in top 3 or 4 for world player of the year. give him the benefit of the doubt lar. it is his first season at RM. not easy to go straight from BPL to La Liga and be best player of the season ma. I believe to be world player of the season, you need to win the CL.

u r back huh..

messi ftw.

Messi for sure. His goals-game ratio compared to Rooney is around the same but he definitely assists more than Rooney. Nevertheless, Rooney is indeed on hot form now...

rooney is unstoppable ? I bet you haven't watch united's game against everton at goodison... but I won't deny rooney is in a hot streak of form...

dinky1409 SG

messi without a doubt.

sure rooney bangs the goals. but compare the quality of goals scored by these 2 players, messi wins quite convincingly.
