I see Gerrard like CMI

Well, he is coming to 30 already right? It happens lah. But it won't happen totally but bit by bit... Cos we can't continue to expect him to be in top form if he plays 2 or 3 matches in 7 or 8 days... Liverpool should cash in on him asap before he becomes worthless... If they are to keep him, then they will have to be selective on the matches he plays... He can be like Paul Scholes, play selectively so as to keep his fitness and form in top condition...

And on the title, I now belief Arsenal have a very good chance to win it this year cos of Wenger's experienced in keeping his players motivated and not nervy. Their remainding fixtures is also a plus point. Therefore I feel they have a better chance than United. Cos out of United's last 7 matches, 3 are from the top 5 so I am quite sure they will drop some points there... As for Chelsea, I think they are feeling the pressure of leading the table and Lotti seems to be clueless in a pressured title chase. And to add away fixtures to United, Spurs and Pool... They are starting to look like they have big problem down the road which Lotti don't seem to know how to deal with...

can liverpool sell gerrard without antagonizing its fans?

chelsea should sell lampard too.

Rooney9 SG

I dun think he can galvanise the entire team just on his own or by Torres. You need your other team mates to do the job properly as well. There are too many mediocre players in the team, like lucas, kuyt, riera, ngog, insua etc.

That's where good management comes in... The fans will never go for it but the man they engage to make the hard choices must stand up and be counted... Thats where it separate the greats from the average...

lampard is not 'made in chelsea'

Rafael Benitez conceded that the referee was right to award Manchester United a penalty during Liverpool's 2-1 league loss.

Benitez has backtracked his earlier statement about Antonio Valencia diving after the winger was adjudged to have been fouled in the box by Javier Mascherano although the initial contact was made outside the box. Mascherano was booked for his troubles.

But Benitez later admitted to Sky Sports News that it was a penalty.

"It appears that it was inside so it was a penalty, and Carra was there so it was a yellow card," said Benitez.

It is a match with above average quality and high intensity, as with all Man Utd v Liverpool matches. Not a classic, but plenty of drama and talking points.

Torres looked like he has lost some motivation in playing for the team, seem to be sending signals that it’s time to sell him to a place where he can win trophies regularly? Gerrard look lerthagic as he has always been this season, could be the same reason.

Fletcher and Rooney are the ones in the red devils’ camp that have been consistently putting in 100% effort on the pitch this season, and i’m not surprised that fletcher was named man of the match. Rooney looked slightly tired and subdued, and should have done better with a chance in the 2nd half which he placed it wide of the keeper’s near post when a placement shot beyond the keeper at the far post seem a better option.

The biggest surprise of the match is Park scoring the winner and playing the role of a 2nd forward supporting rooney. He looked too undersize and constantly losing posession throughout the game, being pushed about by the pool defenders. I must admit i was hoping that Ferguson would replace him with Berbatov before he scored the winner.

penalty or not, we've close to an hour to search for that winning goal.

we failed and utd scored instead.

we lose. that's it. we werent the better side and have to accept the defeat graciously.

Poignant SG

somehow, i think rafael is trying to buy over sir alex.

he wants to be friend with alex.

Gerrard didn't seem to look like a captain to Liverpool that night

and all the tactics gone wrong with a poor old lucas..

i've said alot of times, and here's one more.

stevie seem to have already lost his motivation and determination. but it's understandable why, look infront sometime david ngog, look right side, dirk kuyt, look left side albert reira, look behind lucas. who e hell got motivation like that?

i dont expect stevie to do a one man show or two man show along with fernando.

football aint just for 2, it's for 11.

our tactics is fine, quality is the problem. dirt, lucas, insua, david -.- we've no creativity at all. cant create anything out of nothing.

ppl know that liverpool will pump ball to torres

cut off this link and we have a scoring problem

i think the problem not just lies in quality, we are short of creativity as well

and i was wondering if torres got e armband instead..

Poignant SG

we cant afford to give rafael the sack, but if he really loves the club, and know what's best for us, he should leave. at times, to go through thick and thin together makes relationship better. i appreciate his good intention of wanting to stick as one no matter what.

but this is not a company, this is not a BGR. it's football, we're fighting a war, we need to stay top 4. if he had left eariler this season, maybe we still can have an excuse that he was the one who wracked our season then leave. but now no, he's still here, and we're still in the toilet bowl with a pile of shit. who to save us now?

even god dont bother to look anymore.

AEW5001 SG

we are in a situation where going forward or backwards is not at option

we are stuck.

Poignant SG

that's amazingly stupid right? you dont bring 11 ppl but only have a gun to fight a war right?

look at man utd, arsenal, chelsea.

cutting off supply to rooney doesnt mean the end for utd.

robin out of the season aint the end of arsenal

mark drogba tightly? no worries, they have other capable scorers.

so.. why is it that only liverpool have only fernando to rely on?

AEW5001 SG

i really still miss alonso's pin-point crosses and his spark..

stop living in the past.

xabi was the main reason why we could sustain last season.

but that kind of playing style isnt not replaceable.

AEW5001 SG

but the prob is, i just can't help thinking what if he didn't left

now we need aqualini and maxi to step up and make liverpool count

we need to gather what we now have and put up a fight
