TRUST a catback exhaust system. Basically for a turbo car, what we need is heaps and heaps of AIR.

and of course with more air in from Cold Air Intake , a large enuff piping and exhaust will help release the air when turbo boost, thus pushing the car forward.

another reason why all these exhaust are legal for evo, rex etc.... Very Happy

Can check out BMS, BKS, those are some pretty workshops for rexes.

it has better acceleration on the high end.. not low end..

as u already mentioned, u wanted to increase ur low end... in that case, an open pod setup is already wrong..

i don have any specific brand to recommend.. but personally, im using K&N drop in filter..

but ive already mentioned.. what kind of setup do u want?

pls be clear that i did not mention that open pod = lousy..

open pod is good. but base on what u mentioned earlier in the thread that u wanted to increase ur low end torque, u shld not use open pod..

im just giving opinions on my personal experience.. not very knowledgeable..

if u like to sprint from traffic lights to traffic lights in singapore, den what u are desire now is the right path --- low end power..

if u like to cruise on highway and tia people.. u need more than just low end power already..

and do ur tuning after finish modifying ur car.. best is do one with a lambda sensor stuck in ur exhaust pipe..

its not cheap to do all the above mentioned.. prepare to spend about 10-20k..

you can keep your low-end with your open pod provided you have a piggyback & do some tuning.might want to have a 4-2-1 extractor for your pickup.rims also play a important part too.get some forged rims like volks,prodrive..etc.lighten your ride might be another cheaper option.else you can change your clutch and flywheel.at the end still depends alot on your budget dude

ever seen some rexes driving super kao slow during rainy days???

reason: some have CAI open pod and dammn kia water being sucked in. And normally those CAI are placed low low near the foglight areas cause theres where all the air gashed in.

hmm.. 1.6? cai? I guess the bonnet scoop seems a realli good spot for a cai to be placed. Now u'll have the loud boxer beat in a TS!!

As for the 2.5, perhaps replacing the intercooler to a large, front-mounted one might help performance? but heard this creates more turbo lag..

Hmm.. I once liked imprezas, but the ppl ard me who drive one turned out to be b*stards.. my oc was one..
