New City boss lock in on FIRST transfer target

Roberto Mancini could seek to replace unsettled Craig Bellamy at Manchester City with Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano.

The Daily Mail says Cassano has undoubted ability and Mancini is a confirmed fan, having tried to sign him at Inter.

The £22m-valued forward turned down City after leaving Real Madrid two years ago but he has fallen out with Sampdoria.

Cassano is a secondary striker and Mancini may opt to fill other positions first - unless Bellamy decides to demand a move away.

spanish manager buy spanish players, italian manager buy italian players, welsh manager buy welsh players lol.

Cassano started as a prodigy, but then he lost his way at roma and then at RM. now he stagnated at sampdoria and mancini is keen to buy him?

Poignant SG

he's still good now luh i suppose. seen him play once in awhile..

but whether can shine at epl anot, i dont know

Rooney9 SG

which Italian players are good now?

pirlo already 30. buffon is 31 in case Given leaves. chellini? why not bring nesta over, even if he is 32 years old but he is still better than what city has got now.

Poignant SG

it's an advantage that you've a few italian players in your squad.

just in case of any fights, they can do even more than your 30m buy

Rooney9 SG

bring luca toni over from bayern lar lol.

there are too few italian players playing in EPL, esp italian internationals. I hope to see more Italian players coming here to play.

that boy wages demand too much.

you cannot pay someone over 170k pounds just to be ready for fights leh, football clubs here, not banks. even if banks also not like that spend one luh. lol

luckily there arent any singaporean manager there.

Singaporean manager good what, use foreign talents ma, you'll see City starting line-up filled with Banglahs and PRCs.

Anyway, 22M is alot of money for a downhill striker and isnt City squad already filled with strikers? Even with Bellamy's departure, they still have Robinho, Adebayor, Tevez, Santa Cruz, Bojinov, Benjani, Caicedo and Jo?

City needs a good backline cos Given has been saving City's Rs this season. Toure is itching to jump ship, Lescott looks lost, Bridge is getting old, Micah Richards has lapse of concentration.
