Manchester United legend
Ryan Giggs admits he was never
one for the bright lights.
Giggs, United's all-time appearance record holder with 821
games, dislikes being in the spotlight - unlike, for example,
David Beckham, who he will face
early next year after the Champions League draw paired United with
AC Milan.
He told the People: "When I was 20 and used to have a
night out in London, I would find being chased down the road by the
photographers really uncomfortable.
"I remember at the time Lee Sharpe was really comfortable with
it all, and later on Becks was as well, but I could never handle
it. I think they fact I have never liked the limelight or the whole
showbiz thing has kept me on the rails."
