BLUES BACKING ... Didier Drogba wants to see
Patrick Vieira at Stamford Bridge
The Blues have appealed against their 18-month transfer
ban.
And Drogba wants them to swoop for Inter Milan veteran
Vieira if the appeal is upheld. He said: "It would be a good move
for Chelsea to bring Patrick in. Don't forget we are going to miss
several players in January, particularly in midfield, because of
the African Nations Cup.
"We played against Vieira last summer and he was very
strong."
SunSport revealed yesterday Ancelotti sees Vieira as
the perfect replacement for Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel when
they are away on international duty.
Former Arsenal skipper Vieira, 33, was at Stamford
Bridge to watch Chelsea's 2-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
