Popstar Cheryl Cole says she'd love to buy Newcastle United - if she had the money.
Cheryl has a fortune of over £10million while her husband,
Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole,
gets £3.5m-a-year.
Cheryl, 26, would be willing to become part of a consortium to
save the Toon.
Owner Mike Ashley, 46, has not had any takers since asking £100m
for the club in May.
But Cheryl revealed her wish on yesterday’s Real Radio breakfast
show.
Host Craig Beck asked her: “You must have got a bit of cash.
“You don’t fancy buying Newcastle and putting Ashley at left
back?”
She replied: “If I had that kind of cash, I would.”
