Burnley striker Robbie Blake has seen one Clarets-mad couple
name their new baby after him!
Robbie-Blake Moore’s mum and dad said the decision to name their
second child after their hero was taken in the hospital delivery
room.
Adi Moore, 23, and Leanne Lambshead, 25, of Nairne Street,
Burnley, had already decided to call their baby Robbie after their
favourite Clarets star.
But when he fired home the winner against Manchester United they decided to hyphenate
Blake’s full name and give their baby son a double-barrelled name,
says the Lancashire Telegraph.
A Burnley FC spokesman said: “The players have been making great
headlines on the pitch and it’s good to see they’re making a name
for themselves off the pitch as well.
“It’s a mark of how much the stature of the club has grown and
the fanaticism of some supporters.
"We’re delighted for the family and we would be more than happy
to make Robbie-Blake an honorary member of the Junior Clarets.”
