Sad to say, this line up does not even look threatening in the first place, except for Gerrard and Torres.Yah, the problem is no one in the midfield who can h...

For all those writing off Liverpool’s chances, its still way too early to judge. Liverpool is strong defensively and offensively. Plus they are exceptionally good against out and out teams like Arsenal and Man Utd who defend very high up. What they lack is a solid play maker

limpper SG

what liverpool lack is a quality winger who can bring in pace, insight, and creativity to the team.

gunner77 SG

I already said liverpool should be happy if they can finish within top 4 this season.

They need some guys like alonso to beef up the midfield.

X2 i seriously think liverpool will be the one in danger of dropping out of the top 4 rather than arsenal.

In this match you clearly can see liverpool weakness, as long as they are one goal down and u play fast football against them, they are going to struggle and make alot of stupid fouls like the penalty.

zocoss SG

To be honest, any one of the big 3, United, Arsenal & Pool can fall off if not careful... Only Chelsea is the best bet not just to keep the top 4 position, but also to win the title this season for me... Pool is still very strong but somehow Rafa didn't get it right yesterday... I still have Pool and United at 25% each with Chelsea 30% to win...

Poolman SG

With all respect to Limpper and other Liverpool fans.

Where is POOLMAN and CHRIS now? Haha.

I remember them saying in the previous Man U vs Burnley Thread

Poolman : " Man U forgot to create thread so I create for them". an in fact he was making such a big hoo haa about why Man U mods had not created the thread earlier. mmmm. If he is so free I wonder what was stopping him from creating this thread earlier than Totti?

Chris: "lose already talk in their forum". hahaha. Lose already go into hiding

And for the two of you please dont start flaming me for commenting about the team you support because innosaint was saying that Man U fans are bullshit as we "lose already cannot let people comment." Surely you are not like that right, Poolman and Chris. You are not bullshit people. You are high and honorable because unlike Man U fans you will allow people(me) to take stabs at you two without reacting. :)

Love you two. You guys are the best.

i think this is a very good wake up call for us, a very timely one.

this is gonna teach us, once a top 4, not always a top 4.

we need to learn to stop to think that we're really good always, and will have no troubles against lower quality teams.

im backing the kop still, even if we were to drop out of the top 4 this season, im a liverpool fan still.

we need to improve e way we played for yrs, rafa may not be the right guy afterall..

charlize SG

This is quite a bad home loss considering Villa is also struggling.

Next few games coming up are Bolton, Burnley, West Ham and Hull.

A loss against any of of them could have serious consequences for Rafa.

althought i really don't like pool and hope they lose.. but this is still really really unbelievable.

This is some Karma sow by Gerard. Beat people up think can go scott free? Now God is punishing him and Liverpool.

The person who kena beaten up by Gerard must be laughing at Gerard giving away the stupid penalty and make Liverpool lose//
