Kasper Schmeichel has joined Notts County Football
Club.
The 22-year-old Danish goalkeeper was down the pecking order at
Manchester City, and he has now joined his former Eastlands boss
Sven Goran Eriksson, who is the club’s director of football.
"It is a great signing for the club, obviously. He is one for now
and one for the future," County manager Ian McParland said in the
Nottingham Evening Post. "Hopefully he will be here for a long
time.”
It is believed the League Two club have smashed their transfer
record to land Schmeichel, who is the son of former Manchester
United great Peter.
