Arsenal will face Celtic over two legs to determine who progresses to the group phase of this season's Champions League.

The Bhoys sealed their first away win in Europe in six years in midweek, triumphing 2-0 at Dinamo Moscow to cancel out the Russians' 1-0 victory at Parkhead in the first leg.

However, the Glasgow outfit's hopes of reaching the lucrative group stage of the competition have now suffered a major blow, after being handed the tough task of facing Arsene Wenger's Gunners.

In the other play-off ties, Lyon will meet Anderlecht, Romanian outfit FC Timisoara face Stuttgart, Sporting Lisbon play Fiorentina and Panathinaikos meet Atletico Madrid.

The draw for the Europa League play-off takes place later, with Fulham, Aston Villa, Everton and Hearts all awaiting their fate.

Champions League play-off draw:

FC Sheriff vs Olympiakos
SV Red Bull Salzburg vs Maccabi Haifa
FK Ventspils vs FC Zurich
FC Copenhagen vs Apoel Nicosia
Levski Sofia vs Debrecen
Lyon vs Anderlecht
Celtic vs Arsenal
FC Timisoara vs VfB Stuttgart
Sporting vs Fiorentina
Panathinaikos vs Atletico Madrid

First legs are to played August 18/19. Second legs August 25/26.

Arsenal don't look too strong this season with all the movement and injuries to key players.

Arsenal have been drawn with Celtic in an all-British tie later this month to reach the Champions League group stage.

Celtic, following their victory over Dinamo Moscow earlier this week, face the daunting task of Arsene Wenger's men.

The first leg will take place on August 18 or 19, days after both sides begin their league campaigns.
