Manchester United boss
Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed
the price they were willing to pay to land new Real Madrid signing Karim Benzema.
He told the Daily Mail: "We tried to spend it on Karim
Benzema. But when it went to £42m, it was beyond his value. We went
to £35m and I think that was fair."
Benzema struck for Real on debut yesterday against Shamrock
Rovers.
