Liverpool are making a £15
million offer for Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
Gazzetta dello Sport says two Liverpool officials are
in Rome today to deliver their bid and also discuss personal terms
with Aquilani.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez sees Aquilani as a replacement
for Real Madrid target Xabi Alonso and is willing to offer the
midfielder a £2.5 million-a-year contract to bring him to
England.
