Barcelona are willing to
discuss a swap with Arsenal for
skipper Cesc Fabregas.
The Daily Star says Barca have a budget of £50m, so
they could make Arsenal an offer they can’t refuse.
One of Barca’s vice-presidents, Jaume Ferrer, said on radio:
“The coach really wants to get on with one of his major midfield
signings as quickly as possible.
"We are confident we can land someone that we want and everybody
knows what players we are after. They have been constantly
mentioned in the press.’’
If Arsenal are not interested in just a cash deal for their
skipper, Barca are prepared to offer players in part-exchange.
One player they would offer up is holding midfielder Yaya Toure,
who has been on Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s radar, and is the
brother of Arsenal defender Kolo Toure.
